“Being sensitive” used to be something to overcome because society generally understood that the world is full of sin and life is difficult. Now, in an age of comfort that few generations have ever dreamed of, we weaponize sensitivity in such a way that those that aren’t meeting some nebulous standard (a standard that typically changes along with social media) of sensitive have their name and reputation absolutely trashed by all the tenderhearted internet warriors. I mean, honestly, how dare everyone not be as kind as me?

Let’s talk about why being sensitive isn’t a personality type to strive for.
