Thanks Summer your stand against feminism has helped me get my wife out of a bad church where feminism is strong….they even have facebook pages that are titled “christian and feminist “….when we had problems in our marriage relationship they told her to leave me and she did. …after almost two years of heartache we are slowly getting back together and she has left that church. ..this church has many issues but feminism is one of the biggest ones. ..female pastors who told me they are not sure my marriage is of God. …so my wife and 3 children in her mind was up for debate as to whether our marriage was of God. ..whatever that means. …they also say that they fight for the rights of Women to preach the gospel. ….I didn’t know women were oppressed from preaching the gospel. But there you go. …the subtle spin is that they say something that we are not saying. …I’m all for women preaching the gospel but just not women being in authority over men in the church….like a female pastor who separates us and tells us she’s not sure our marriage is of God. …there’s alot more perspective to be given on our situation bit this is a quick overview. ..I was able to share your page to her and a couple of strong feminists in that church. ..even if nothing gets through to them that fact that sheologians exist casts doubt in thier minds and causes them to question thier position. …even if they don’t read a word or hear a podcast. ..the knowledge of fact that there are christian women who oppose feminism has a great impact….you among other things all contributed top my marriage being saved. …thank you

I live in Northern Ireland and I heard your programme for the first time on Saturday. You two ladies spent much of the time laughing and joking and then your guest joined in. It all seemed so shallow and lacking in order and seriousness. I agreed with some of Sye Ten Bruggencate’s points on pre-suppositional apologetics, when he finally got around to speaking about the subject you asked him to speak on. I also viewed your video of the two of you asking men to make sandwiches for you. I was slightly shocked by the way you two were dressed because feminists dress just like you and yet you say you are opposed to Feminism. Neither of you were dressed in ladylike clothing and I was appalled at the nose ring and the tattoos. I am a 57 year old Christian woman with an 18 year old daughter and she would never have tattoos or a nose ring. You can’t fight feminism by becoming like them. Your church obviously sees nothing wrong with tattoos or nose rings. I do not believe that such things honour God.

Could we be bound by traditions that are not Scriptural. Joy is “clear.” It is not forbidden in Scriptures. If they are please bring the Book. Thank you ma’am.

Yes atheists exist. Sye tens presuppositions can be just simply rejected.

Certainty? What do you mean by certain?

      1. Cannot be wrong?
      2. A strong belief?

If 1. how do you know it cannot be wrong?
If 2. A strong belief could be wrong.

I’m a new listener, but I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed this episode. I’ve only been exposed to evidentiary apologetics and didn’t know presuppositional apologetics existed. I had my husband listen, too, and we’re going to do some reading to learn more. Thank you for this episode.

I note that my comment is still awaiting moderation. You obviously have no intention of publishing it, so why is it still awaiting moderation? Do you only want comments that you agree with? Why can’t you accept rebuke? You claim to be Christians yet you have shown no Christian courtesy to me.

      Dear Susan,

I had to chuckle at your last comment. You claim I haven’t shown you Christian courtesy because I cared so little for your first comment that I didn’t expend the energy to post it. This, coming from a woman who came here to let us know how we “look like” feminists and we laugh too much. You show us very little grace, assume you know our character from one episode, and think we owe you anything?

Honestly I didn’t approve your comment because it literally adds nothing intelligible to discuss, and I get the feeling that if anyone with any kind of actual Christian courtesy or meaningful worldview might be tempted (understandably so) to mock you for your slandering of our character because we don’t line up with your legalistic worldview.

I know who you are. I have seen appalling emails you have sent to close friends of mine. There is no discussing anything of substance with you, because it seems you live to police other believers and berate them for not following in your pharisaical steps. We won’t be engaging further. Have a nice day!

I’m so sorry about your lay off, but I’ll echo the rest of the commenters by saying your attitude is inspirational. I was laid off at the beginning of this little adventure we’re calling “the great re28&sions#e2c1; and while it is not fun attitude is everything. So, you’re already way ahead of the game.I’m confident whatever lies ahead is better than you could possible imagine.Best of luck@kbhouston

You do not know me. I live in Northern Ireland and I do not know any of your friends. You must now provide evidence to prove your outrageous accusations or withdraw them. If you do not, I will post about this matter on our blog and I will name you and give links to your radio interview with Sye Ten Bruggencate so people can judge for themselves about the laughter and frivolity on your programme. I will also give a link to the video of you and your friend asking men to make sandwiches for you. I will also give a link to the “beer and tattoo” controversy at Apologia Church which is your church. I am much older and wiser than you Madam and I will not be lectured by you.

        Summer,

I continued to be appalled at the behavior of believer’s towards others on the internet. I am thankful for the diversity in the Body of Christ, and that we all don’t have to look a certain way in a certain culture to bring honor to Him. Thank you for all you do.

Your love of “diversity” does not stretch to Christians who have a different opinion from you (and Sheologians.) What is appalling is your attempt to discredit those Christians who dare to confront others when there is a need to do so. The Apostle Paul confronted the Apostle Peter because “he was to be blamed.” There is a time to commend and there is a time to confront and some care enough to confront, as I do and did.

Name your friends that you say have received “appalling” e-mails from me because I do not know any of your friends. It is a serious sin to make false accusations. I am old enough to be your mother so refrain from addressing me by my first name. I note that you and your church label anyone who rebukes you as “legalists” and “Pharisees” etc. Christian News Network and Pulpit and Pen have both rebuked Apologia Church and they were labelled as legalists and Pharisees for so doing.

Hello! I’m late to finding you guys and have started from the very first episode! Anyways, I couldn’t understand the reference that was made at the beginning of the podcast about what we should check out about presuppositional apologetics. Was it a book? Or a podcast? Thanks!
